Archery Gold for Australia

Australian Recurve Archery Men’s team wins the Gold medal at Delhi 2010, defeating the Malaysians 219 points to 212.

Mathew Gray and Taylor Worth, member of the Australian team were available for comments after the victory.

On asking how he felt after winning the Gold, Mathew said, "Brilliant. It is just a sigh of relief. We have worked so hard for so long, and it is rewarding."

"The final was the easiest. Our hardest matches were earlier against Canada and India." He added.

Taylor Worth, who shot the winning arrow, said "I just made sure I didn't look at the clock or what I needed to get and just focused. I knew it was going straight into the centre."

When asked about the pressure to win Australia's first Archery Gold at Delhi 2010, he replied "We didn't feel any pressure. We just focused on the mark and nothing else."-PTI & GNS
