Consequent to the declaration of Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi as a public authority under the Right to Information Act 2005 by the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi on January 7, OC CWG 2010 Delhi, it has been decided to set up a RTI Cell in the OC CWG 2010 Delhi to deal with the applications seeking information from the Organising Committee, with immediate effect.
In compliance with the directions contained in the Administrative Reforms Department, and judgment dated January 7, 2010 and as per provisions contained in Sections 5 and 19 of the Right to Information Act 2005, the following officers have been designated as the Appellate Authority, State Public Information Officer and Assistant Public Information Officer in OC CWG 2010 Delhi. Any application received in OC under RTIA shall be sent to the RTI Cell on Second Floor of OC Headquarters. The RTI Cell shall mark such application to the APIO of the concerned FA in OC. Such APIO shall compile information from concerned officer with in his FA and get it vetted by his/her FA Head. The draft reply shall be sent to the RTI Cell for examination. State PIO in RTI Cell will ensure that the answer to be given to applicant is within the framework of RTIA and thereafter send the answer to the applicant.
Applicants should ensure that any application is this regard sent to OC shall contain Rs.10 (cash, cheque or bank draft) and that it must clearly mention the address of the application so that the reply is sent.
